“Fireflies” is an eight-episode mystery drama set in the Dead Sea and centered on two friends who are also enemies.
Following a flood, old mines are washed away and inundate the lands of a settlement near the Dead Sea, but it turns out that another and miraculous phenomenon is threatening the residents.
Dana Ivgi plays Dikla, a local policewoman who lives in the settlement and seeks to restore peace to the desert.
Ninet plays Mimi, a police saboteur who doesn’t fit into any community or fit into any niche, and doesn’t want to. They meet after not seeing each other for twenty years, and the reunion brings up demons and traumas from the past.
