20 Years of Mussaf – Authentic Melodies, Sung Naturally

As Rosh Hashanah approaches, I’m sharing segments from the Mussaf prayer that have been part of my journey as a cantor for 20 years. These melodies aren’t exactly the Bobov nusach, but they carry the deep emotion and spirit of what I learned from my mentor, Rabbi Shaul Hutterer, who served as the beloved cantor at the Bobov Beit Midrash in Antwerp.

Rabbi Hutterer, a Holocaust survivor, had no children of his own, but he treated us kids in his choir like family. He taught us how to sing from the heart and live the prayer, and I’ve carried that lesson with me throughout my career.

This recording is simple and authentic – no studio, no enhancements, just me singing naturally in my yard, because I believe these ancient melodies are best sung in their raw, pure form.
