Jerusalem, City of David: Bringing the Bible to Life
The Golden Bell (Episode 16) – City of David: Bringing the Bible to Life
“On its hem make pomegranates of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, all around the hem, with bells of gold between them all around: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe.” (Exodus 28: 33 – 34)
In 2011, archeologists excavating in the City of David – the place where Jerusalem began – announce the discovery of a 2,000 year-old, small golden bell, believed to be one of those that adorned the robe of the High Priest, who served in the Temple.
