“Cinema Sabaya”, which swept Israel’s Ophir Awards earlier this year, is up for nomination as a foreign film nominee at the 2023 Academy Awards.
The film depicts female Arab and Jewish municipal workers taking part in a video workshop, documenting their own lives and learning about each other, in a project that challenges their beliefs as they get to know one another.
